Joshua Hebert, the CEO and founder of Magellan Jets, is well-versed in flying high. A former Wall Street exec, Hebert now pilots the Quincy-based private jet travel service, which recently unveiled its new Build-A-Card program. “We looked at technology in the automotive industry, specifically Mercedes, and saw how you can customize and build your car online,” Hebert says. “In our business, no one has been able to customize a jet card with an online portal. The only way to do it was to call into the office and negotiate, but in most cases the high-end consumer did not know what options they had.” (To have those problems, right?)

Magellan Jets Hosts Event at The FLL Boat Show

Magellan Jets had a strong presence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this week at the 52nd edition of the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. Running from the 27th of October to the 30th, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is the largest yacht show in regard to sheer volume and space. The show is comprised of an impressive armada of state-of-the-art superyachts which cover over three million square feet of marina and water ways. Magellan Jets’ partner Bartram & Brakenhoff had an incredible display of several of their yachts for sale and charter docked at the show. On the evening of October 27, Magellan Jets hosted a party with Super Yachts aboard the motor yacht REMEMBER WHEN. Light fare and cocktails were served as guests mingled. Joshua Hebert, CEO of Magellan Jets and Anthony Tivnan, President of Magellan Jets, were in attendance and enjoyed a wonderful evening which was most definitely a success for everyone involved. Amongst the largest yachts at the show are a flotilla of well over 200 yachts ranging from 10′ tenders and sport boats to 248′ behemoth luxury yachts; not to mention an army of world class exhibitors such as Feadship, Merle Wood, Perini Navi, YPI, Oceanco and Palmer Johnson. Magellan Jets looks forward to 2012’s FLL Boat Show and continuing their partnerships with both Bartram & Brakenhoff and Super Yachts.

Magellan Jets Attends NBAA 2011 in Las Vegas

From October 10-12, 2011, Magellan Jets proudly attended NBAA’s (National Business Aviation Association) conference which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the aviation industry insiders, this annual event is imperative to attend for both networking and educational purposes alike. As a business tool, this convention yields amazing results for well-respected operators and industry specialists to unite. Buying decisions are weighed and executed at the NBAA and the relationships formed set the stage for the upcoming year. Magellan Jets spent the first day on the convention floor, interacting with exhibitors and other attendees. On Tuesday, they moved onto the Static Display of Aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport where the latest aircraft models were present for the attendees to view and explore.

They provided the media with updates on Magellan Jets and their hopes for the coming year. Recently, Magellan Jets announced their plan to provide students and families in China with private jet transportation to the U.S., elite concierge services and top-tier medical expertise. Magellan Jets Attends Style Boston’s Two Year Anniversary Party

On the evening of Tuesday, September 20th, Style Boston held “It Takes 2”, their two year anniversary party. The soiree was at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. Representing Magellan Jets, Joshua Hebert (CEO), Anthony Tivnan (President) and Tanzer Kanlier were present. The party boasted delicious food featuring chefs Susur Lee, Michael Ginor, Gordon Hamersley, Marc Orfaly, Rodney Murillo, Raymond Ost and Rachel Klein. Beverages were provided by Svedka, Ruffino Prosecco and Hint Water, to name a few. The Back Bay’s hot spot Davios had a strong presence, supplying the crowd with samplings from their five star menu. For those with a sweet tooth, desert was concocted by Finale chef Karen Hodsdon, Ben & Jerry’s and PureFections. Guests were kept entertained all night long. From Audi’s selection of their latest models on display, to the incredible music, “It Takes 2” was a success. CEO of Magellan Jets, Joshua Hebert commented, “The Style Boston anniversary event most definitely falls into the top 10 events Boston has to offer every year. It is a party I thoroughly enjoyed attending, as did everyone from Magellan Jets.”

Joshua Hebert, the CEO of Magellan Jets, will be biking 50 miles this upcoming Saturday in The Rodman Ride for Kids. The Rodman Ride For Kids is an umbrella matching gift charity raising funds for youth-focused social service agencies that support at-risk children in Massachusetts. The Ride’s mission it to have every child in our community live as we would want our own children to live. The Ride serves as a catalyst by providing child welfare agencies an opportunity to raise funds through this event. The Ride For Kids and its benefiting agencies fundraise year-round, culminating with the Ride event, when 1,500 cyclists participate in a 25, 50, or 100-mile non-competitive cycling tour on October 1, 2011. 100% of the expenses associated with the Ride are underwritten.
