As the largest jet Cessna has ever created, the Citation Hemisphere is bound to turn heads when it makes its first flight in 2019. Expanding the Citation family, the Hemisphere will be the first large business jet the company has designed and will feature a three zone cabin with two lavatories and skylights.
Three Zone Cabin Design
At 8.6 feet wide, the Citation Hemisphere features the widest cabin in its class with a flat floor and 74 inches in height for optimal clearance. The Hemisphere has 20 oversized windows and seats 12 to 15 passengers comfortably. Executive style seats offer maximum coziness and style, while the option for couches allow travelers to relax when needed.
The Hemisphere features a three zone cabin design. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, the cabin is customizable, allowing travelers to configure it in a way that best suits their needs. The third zone is a private area with its own lavatory featuring a large mirror, skylight, and a large walk-in storage area that is accessible anytime. To ensure privacy while in the private zone, another lavatory was designed in the front of the cabin.
In the galley, options of chilled storage areas and ovens are available and pair well with the granite top surfaces and stone flooring. An additional skylight gives the galley optimal light and easily shows off its high-end design.
Unrivaled Performance
The Citation Hemisphere will be powered by two next generation Safran Silvercrest engines that deliver over 12,000 pounds of thrust and allow for a 4,500nm range. In the flight deck, pilots will find Honeywell’s newest avionics system that includes 3D views of land and terrain during low visibility conditions and a transoceanic flight system.
Full fly-by-wire control system with active control sidesticks help facilitate pilots during operation. The flight deck features large LED HD displays, touch screen controls, improved propulsion efficiency, and up to 15% lower fuel consumption.
At the lowest total ownership cost, the Citation Hemisphere has a clean sheet design that offers incredible performance and reliability. At a price point of around $35 million, this brand new business jet is paving the way for large jets from Cessna.
