Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV Takes on Tough Terrain Before its Official Release

The Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV is set to conquer uncharacteristically tough territories in its “Final Challenge.” Rolls Royce has teamed up with National Geographic to prove that it’s not only top in luxury as the company’s first-ever SUV, but top in off-roading performance as it tackles the snowy alpine, arid dessert, and mountainous terrain around the globe.

The Cullinan SUV is named after the massive 3,100-carat uncut diamond, the largest in the world. The luxury SUV is a “high-sided all terrain vehicle” with a 4×4 drivetrain coupled to an automatic transmission. Complete specifications have yet to be released, but the body is based on Rolls Royce’s aluminum space frame architecture that it developed for the Phantom VIII. The front of the Cullinan has the classic look of a Rolls Royce.

The Cullinan is set to be released at the end of the year, with first deliveries slated for early 2019. You can track the engineer-testing adventures on Rolls Royce and National Geographic social media and at https://www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com. The testing begins on the Scottish Highlands and will continue until it completes the series of challenges.

If you want to take a sneak peak at the car yourself, you can request a viewing at the company’s website.
