Runway Closure at Hanscom Field

Hanscom Field Closed 8/11 – 8/14

Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts will be closed to all aircraft except helicopters beginning on August 11th, 2017 at 1800 EDT for the paving and re-surfacing of both runways. It will re-open on August 14th, 2017 at 0600 EDT. Should there be any delay in the runway re-paving operations, the airport will re-close on August 18th, 2017 at 1800 EDT, and then will re-open on August 21st, 2017 at 0600 EDT.

Runway 11/29 Closed Through 8/30

The longest runway at Hanscom Field will be closed for the duration of August, and will re-open on August 31st, 2017. This leaves only one accessible runway, which is just 5,107 feet long. The re-paving project is scheduled to be completed around September 14th, 2017.

Alternate airports to Hanscom Field are Boston Logan International Airport and Beverly Regional Airport.
