The G450 is powered by twin Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8C engines, each producing 13,850 lbs of thrust. By utilizing Rolls-Royce engines, the aircraft can take off in just 5,450 feet at sea level and reach an altitude of 41,000 feet in as little as 23 minutes. With a range of nearly 4,350 nautical miles when flying with 8 passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, this heavy jet can handle lengthy trips like Tokyo to Seattle, Teterboro to Moscow, or New York to Sao Paulo, and do so at a high-cruise speed of 548 mph. Various aerodynamic improvements have also been made to the business jet from previous models. By implementing a new wing design, Gulfstream was able to reduce drag, increase stability, and save fuel.
