General FAQs

Magellan Jets has been privately owned and operated by it's 3 founders - Joshua Hebert, Anthony Tivnan, & Gregory Belezarian, since 2008. We are 100% debt-free and asset-light, ensuring that the dollars you spend are used exclusively to provide the highest quality private flight experience possible
While we service the entire globe, our central headquarters is located in Boston, MA. New England based Private Clients enjoy access to our terminal in Bedford, MA, one of the busiest private airports in the country; Offering easy access to thousands of popular destinations.
Magellan Jets does not own a fleet, but rather, works with a thoroughly vetted group of operators known as the Magellan Jets Preferred Network. MJPN operators are actively monitored and reviewed to ensure adherence to operational and safety excellence. These include good standing with third party standards organizations such as ARG/US and Wyvern; maintenance of insurance requirements; as well as a pre-flight review of assigned crew before every leg flown. As a result, Magellan Jets is a financially sound organization, using only exceptionally qualified pilots, which allows us to place the interests of our clients ahead of optimizing fixed assets.
Being asset light means that we do not actually own a fleet. This provides a tremendous advantage in that can be incredibly discerning in what operators we decide to source our flights from, ensuring the safest and highest quality experience possible. By not owning a fleet, we are also not limited to a fixed number of aircraft, and can offer our Private Clients 24/7/365 access through our network of vetted providers, and only ever use client funds for the flights they take - never for aircraft maintenance or operations.
We continually strive to lower our carbon footprint wherever we can, through the use of sustainable aviation fuel, carbon offsetting with Terrapass, and by supporting initiatives like NBAA’s "Climbing Fast", which is dedicated to improving sustainability within the aviation industry.

Safety FAQs

Your health and safety are our top priority. Our partners through the Magellan Jets Preferred Network (MJPN) of operators are required to adhere to enhanced safety and experience standards that far exceed FAA minimums. Our expert operations team closely monitors each flight to ensure crews adhere to our strict safety standards.
Magellan Jets’ Preferred Network (MJPN) is our group of long-standing, carefully selected aircraft and flight crew partners. Of the 2,500+ private jet operators in the US, we work with approximately 100 of the most qualified pilots and crews, and continually audit them to ensure standards are always being exceeded.
We continually evaluate the operators that we partner with through a multi-checkpoint audit, ensuring all operators meet or exceed our stringent safety requirements. When an operator no longer meets these standards, we remove them from the Magellan Jets Preferred Network (MJPN) until they have taken corrective action and can prove through further audits that they again meet our safety requirements.
