This month, Joshua Hebert, Founder and CEO of Magellan Jets, will become Chairman of the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF), where he currently serves as Vice-Chairman. Hebert founded Magellan Jets in 2008 and has since grown the business into the most prestigious private jet charter company. The ACSF recognized the impact of his expertise and commitment to safety, giving him influence in aviation on a broader scale.

ACSF: Magellan Jets CEO To Become New Chairman

Former Chairman, Michael Graham, Director of Flight Operations Safety, Security & Standardization at Textron Aviation, with a deep background in aviation safety, has been selected by the White House to become the newest member of the National Transportation Safety Board. Graham will fill out the remainder of a five-year term that expires Dec. 31, 2020, succeeding Earl Weener who has served on the Board since 2010.

Hebert says, “I’ve been on the Board of the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) for the last five years, and it’s one of my greatest honors to be appointed as Chairman. At Magellan Jets, safety is paramount and something I’ve been passionate about in the 20 years I’ve spent in the private jet industry. I have big shoes to fill, succeeding Michael Graham.”

Magellan Jets works synergistically with ACSF through its commitment to safe aviation. The company sits at the forefront of secure travel in private flying. Hebert’s promotion is a testament to both his notable leadership and the success of Magellan Jets. In addition to sitting on the board of the ACSF, Herbert leads as Chairman of the Magellan Jets Board and Founding Chair of the Alumni Advisory Board for Raising a Reader Massachusetts. He further acts as a captain of the industry as a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year.

“Joshua has been an invaluable Vice-Chairman and member of the ACSF Executive Committee and Board of Governors,” said ACSF President Bryan Burns. “With his leadership, knowledge and creative ideas in the aviation industry, he will make an excellent Chairman. He has a proven record to support and promote the foundation’s ongoing risk management programs.”

Magellan Jets sales have steadily increased by 35% per year, thanks to a team headed by Hebert’s credentials. Magellan has been featured on Boston Business Journal’s Pacesetters (now Fast 50) list, SmartCEO’s Future 50, and the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America, one of the most prestigious rankings of private companies, on which Magellan Jets has landed for the 6th time. This accomplishment is shared by only 3% of companies on the 2018 list and puts Magellan in the Inc Hall of Fame.
