Your Jet Card with your contracted base hourly fuel rate was designed to provide consistency and protection against normal market fluctuations. Over the last several years, Magellan Jets has fully absorbed routine changes in fuel costs as part of your program, with no adjustments passed through to our Clients. In the interest of our commitment to provide transparency and accountability, we reference an independent industry benchmark (the Argus U.S. Jet Fuel Index) to monitor broad market movements and determine when conditions fall outside of normal ranges. Due to recent market conditions, fuel prices have temporarily moved beyond the range of typical fluctuations. Magellan Jets continues to absorb substantial fuel cost increases as part of your program— covering swings of up to 25% above normal market levels (~$2.00/gallon). Only the portion beyond that range may result in a temporary fuel adjustment fee. In these cases, an estimate will be provided at the time of scheduling.
