AINonline features mobile app launch plans
Speaking with AINonline, Magellan Jets President Anthony Tivnan revealed tentative plans for the 2020 launch of a new mobile app. Geared towards private jet travelers, check out more details in this excerpt below:
While fully capable of seamlessly booking flights on mobile devices, president and co-founder Anthony Tivnan told AIN the as-yet unnamed app aims to simplify interactions with customer service representatives in making the detailed arrangements by telephone that many of its clients prefer, rather than automate the process.
Although the exciting new project is still in beta testing, the article does reveal some other details. First, the app is set to be “iOS- and Android-compatible.” Also, the upcoming mobile app launch is being “developed by internal IT staffers and two outside companies.”
Tivnan spoke with AINonline from New York City during a reception for Magellan Jets’ Elevate private jet membership program. While at the event, Tivnan discussed “the downfall of some brokers'” mobile apps. Overall, the Magellan Jets president believes it’s “the lack of adequate back-end interfaces” that’s behind their lack of success.
