Accounting Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

– 4+ years experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller
– Bachelors degree in Accounting required, CPA a plus
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
– Proficiency in accounting software
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
– Ability to work in a small team to achieve great things

POSITION OVERVIEW*
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Accounting Manager who can carry out the day-to-day financial operations of Magellan Jets. You will ensure efficient operation of the department and support the CFO in making executives aware of the company’s financial climate.

Responsibilities

Establishes internal controls and is responsible for documentation and implementation of accounting practices and policies per GAAP
Prepares and oversees preparation of business activity reports, and participates in the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets
Oversees the accounting close process and preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports, ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
Presents recommendations to management on short-term and long-term financial objectives and policies
Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
Monitors and executes company contracts
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
The ability to develop and create financial models
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
