Additional Information
The Citation Excel includes a larger cabin than its predecessor, with upgraded amenities and added luggage space. Cessna’s Citation Excel offers one of the most spacious cabins in the mid-size jet category, measuring 18.5 feet long, 5.7 feet high, and 5.5 feet wide. Customers love the fact that they can enjoy stand-up headroom on this jet. Noise-cancelling technology allows the jet’s seven passengers to travel smoothly and quietly, while dual air conditioning systems, a triple-sealed entry door, and triple-pane windows allow for temperature control and additional sound reduction.
The Excel comes equipped with fold-out tables, a fully enclosed lavatory, individual power outlets, and adjustable sliding headrests. The jet’s eight passengers enjoy ample baggage space, with an external baggage compartment of 80 cubic feet and an internal compartment of 10 cubic feet. Eleven large windows keep the cabin naturally lit, and those aboard can track their flight’s progress through the Rockwell Collins Airshow Display system.
Private Clients bound for destinations across the Eastern Seaboard or West Coast can fly nonstop on the Citation Excel/XLS, with the latest XLS+ variant comfortably connecting city pairs like New York to Miami or Boston to Denver. The family includes multiple refined variants, each offering a longer reach and a more responsive departure experience. Cruise speeds between 433 and 440 knots keep the journey efficient without sacrificing the comfort of a midsize cabin, and a maximum ceiling of 45,000 feet places you above most commercial traffic and weather.
Shorter runways are no obstacle. The XLS variant requires as little as 2,739 feet for takeoff, opening access to smaller regional airports throughout the country. Facilities like Teterboro, Boca Raton, and Aspen become part of your itinerary, keeping the journey seamless from door to destination.
Every flight on a Citation Excel/XLS benefits from flight deck technology matched to the specific variant, precision that translates directly to smoother navigation and confident approaches in challenging conditions. The original Excel is equipped with the Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics suite, while the XLS and XLS+ upgrade to the Collins Pro Line 21 system with four large LCD displays for enhanced situational awareness. For Private Clients, it is the kind of reassurance that makes every journey feel composed and certain.
