Bombardier Learjet 60 / 60XR
Built for Business, Ready to Go
The Learjet 60/60XR combines strong performance, midsize cabin comfort, and the speed the Learjet family is known for. Designed for efficient business and leisure travel, the aircraft delivers reliable nonstop capability and a spacious cabin environment for longer journeys.
Building on the success of the original Learjet 60, the 60XR introduced upgraded systems and avionics refinements that further enhanced operational performance and reliability.

Additional Information
The Learjet 60 provides passengers with a roomier cabin than on previous models, as well as a range of amenities to ensure a relaxing flight. The cabin, which was redesigned to provide more elbow and head room for passengers, measures 17.8 feet in length, 5.9 feet in height, and 5.11 feet in width for a total volume of 453 cubic feet. Featuring leather seats that can swivel and recline, the cabin comfortably seats six. Seating is arranged in club-four fashion with two additional front-facing seats, and those aboard can utilize folding work tables to stay productive while in the air. Passengers can access their luggage in flight thanks to the jet’s 31 cubic feet of internal storage, while externally accessible storage areas fit an additional 24 cubic feet.
“When it comes to pure climbing power, the Learjet 60 is hard to beat,” writes Business Jet Traveler about the Learjet 60. “This airplane doesn’t just take off—it blasts off.” That’s thanks to the jet’s two Pratt & Whitney PW305A turbofan engines, which each produce 4,600 lbs. of thrust and help reduce noise level but are capable of pushing their performance to 5,225 lbs. The aircraft can climb to a cruise level of 43,000 feet in less than 14 minutes with its full maximum takeoff weight of 23,500 lbs., and can reach a high-cruise speed of 525 mph. It has a range of 2,310 nautical miles with NBAA IFR when carrying four passengers.
The mid-size jet is extremely fuel efficient. It burns an average 203 gallons of fuel per hour, which is comparable to a light jet. During design, Bombardier utilized NASA/Boeing Tranair computational fluid dynamics software to pinpoint locations on the jet’s exterior that caused excessive drag, resulting in an extremely aerodynamic business jet.
Compared to previous Learjet models, the Learjet 60 has a heavier wing load, which increases stability and provides smoother flights, even during turbulence. A nose wheel steering system and stronger breaks make handling easier when the jet is on the ground.
The Learjet 60’s flight deck features an integrated Pro Line 4 avionics system with four large displays. A clean layout provides pilots with the most necessary information while a flight guidance system and short-range navigation come standard. Additionally, the aircraft features a Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system that easily controls all the engine’s functions. The system automatically regulates engine performance during flights, decreasing pilot workload.
