Sample Itinerary
The following itinerary is a suggested experience and can be fully customized to suit your preferences.

Arrival
Easter Island
Depart early and arrive on Easter Island, where a transfer to Nayara Hangaroa brings you to an ocean-view villa for three nights. Take some time to settle in, then wander along the dramatic coastline near the property, allowing the rhythm of the Pacific to welcome you. As the sun sets, enjoy your first dinner at the resort and ease into island life.
MOAI AND ISLAND CULTURE
Rano Raraku and
Ahu Tongariki
Your exploration begins with a visit to Rano Raraku, the quarry where many of the island’s moai were carved and left unfinished centuries ago. After lunch, continue discovering Rapa Nui heritage with stops such as Ahu Tongariki, home to the famed line of fifteen moai facing the sea. Later, you may return to the resort for a relaxing dinner and perhaps take in a cultural performance that highlights local music and dance.

adventure and relaxation
Rano Kau and
Ahu Tahai
Today offers a blend of activity and leisure. You may start with a hike to the breathtaking crater of Rano Kau or opt for kayaking or snorkeling along the coast. By afternoon, unwind with the resort’s amenities, whether a massage, a swim, or simply time spent taking in the ocean view. As evening approaches, visit Ahu Tahai, a favorite viewpoint for watching the moai glow under a brilliant sunset before ending the day with dinner and stargazing.
travel day
Santiago and
The Ritz-Carlton
After a final slow breakfast on Easter Island and possibly a short walk or last-minute shopping, take a direct flight to Santiago. Upon arrival, check into The Ritz-Carlton and have time to relax before heading out to explore at your leisure.

exploring santiago
San Cristóbal Hill and Parque Forestal
Your day begins with a ride on the old funicular, which glides up 2,500 feet to the highest point in the city, San Cristóbal Hill. From there, you are rewarded with sweeping views of Santiago and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Immaculate Conception, a national icon. For lunch, fill up on a Chilean staple, an el lomito, at the old Fuente Alemana cafe. Spend your afternoon exploring the arts center of Parque Forestal, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Museum of Visual Arts.
journey to the desert
Nayara Atacama and San Pedro
Take a flight north to Calama, where a scenic transfer brings you into the Atacama Desert. Once you arrive at Nayara Atacama, settle in and explore the property before taking the lodge’s bicycles into the charming town of San Pedro de Atacama. Dinner at the lodge caps off your first evening in the desert.

salt flats and stargazing
Atacama Salt Flat and Valley of the Moon
Head out before sunrise to the Atacama Salt Flat, where flamingo-filled lagoons catch the early light. Return for breakfast and rest at the lodge. In the afternoon, explore the Valley of the Moon, where dramatic mineral formations and natural amphitheaters glow in the last light of day. The evening brings a guided stargazing session at the observatory.
geysers and desert adventure
El Tatio and
Death Valley
Rise early for El Tatio, where steam plumes erupt in the freezing morning air high in the Andes. Return to San Pedro de Atacama for brunch, then choose your afternoon: sandboarding in Death Valley or exploring the desert terrain by 4×4. An optional spa massage at the lodge offers a quieter alternative.

Cultural exploration
Toconao and Eyes of the Atacama
Choose from a cultural or geological excursion: ancient petroglyphs, the artisan village of Toconao, or the crystalline “Eyes of the Atacama” lagoons. The afternoon is yours, whether cycling desert roads, soaking in natural hot springs, or resting at the lodge. One final night of stargazing closes the Atacama chapter of your journey.
departure
Calama to Santiago
Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before a transfer to Calama for your departure flight to Santiago and onward.
