What type of aircraft are available with membership?
Magellan Jets members have guaranteed access to aircraft in 4 categories: light, mid-size, super-midsize, and heavy cabin. The aircraft models utilized for Explorer and Explorer100 Membership can be viewed here.
How does the pay-as-you-go membership pricing work?
Unlike the varying cost of commercial first class flights, travelers and businesses can now reliably project their travel costs with Explorer and Explorer100 Membership. Explorer Membership’s initial investment at signing ensures flying at our posted hourly rates, allowing members to pay as they go no matter how many hours they fly; with a $100,000 starting balance on account, Explorer100 ensures their rates are locked in for 12 months.
HOW DO YOU ASSURE SAFETY OF THE AIRCRAFT IN YOUR NETWORK?
Available aircraft are pre-qualified for safety and quality and must meet the standards of the Magellan Jets Preferred Network (MJPN).

How is Magellan Jets addressing COVID?
DOES MAGELLAN JETS OWN A FLEET?
Magellan Jets does not own a fleet, but rather, works with a thoroughly vetted group of operators known as the Magellan Jets Preferred Network. MJPN operators are actively monitored and reviewed to ensure adherence to operational and safety excellence. These include good standing with third party standards organizations such as ARG/US and Wyvern; maintenance of insurance requirements; as well as a pre-flight review of assigned crew before every leg flown. As a result, Magellan Jets is a financially sound organization, using only exceptionally qualified pilots, which allows us to place the interests of our clients ahead of optimizing fixed assets.

WHAT AIRCRAFT CAN I SELECT FROM?
DOES MAGELLAN JETS OFFER JET CARDS?
Yes. Magellan Jets offers jet card ownership, a personalized program where you can build your card to fit your needs. Purchased in 25-hour blocks, choose from seven of the industry’s most popular aircraft or two non-aircraft-specific access cards. Learn more about our jet card ownership program here.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS FOR A JET CARD?
Jet card ownership is designed in 25-hour purchasing blocks. The minimum number of hours for a jet card is 25 hours, while owners who build cards of 50 or more hours receive additional benefits.
Can i use my membership to fly others?
Yes! Explorer100 Members can secure flights for other parties, even when a lead member isn’t onboard.
IS THERE A LIMIT OR PENALTIES IF I EXCEED (OR DON'T USE) MY HOURS?
There is absolutely no limit on hours flown nor are there any overage charges—you are in control of how many hours you enjoy, to include customiation of your jet card in hours as well as other amenities starting at 50 hours.
DO YOU OFFER SUPPLEMENTAL LIFT FOR CORPORATIONS?
Yes. Magellan Jets offers a unique set of benefits available to organizations that fly 100 hours or more annually. Your existing flight department or travel coordinators will enjoy the backing of our Flight Support team, made up of FAA licensed pilots and aviation professionals, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help meet your business’s global travel needs.
WHAT IS MJPN?
The Magellan Jets Preferred Network (MJPN) is the framework that enables us to select only the highest quality aircraft providers /operators to execute our missions.
WHAT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT ARE IN THE JET CARD PROGRAM?
Jet card owners can build a jet-specific card, with access to one of seven most popular aircraft on the market. Jet card owners choose from a portfolio of the industry’s most popular aircraft, such as the Phenom 300, Challenger 300/350 and Gulfstream 450.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE SOURCING DEPARTMENT?
The Sourcing team is responsible for assigning aircraft within Magellan Jets Preferred Network to our members and customers, and monitors real-time availability, trends, aircraft quality, and consistency within the charter market.
WHO CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS IF I HAVE ANY?
Magellan’s Flight Support team is staffed 24/7/365 LIVE with a team of FAA certified pilots and aviation professionals that are involved with monitoring and communication on every segment of your trip and support our global aviation presence.
CAN I FLY WITH Magellan Jets TO EUROPE?
Yes, but not only Europe; You can fly with Magellan Jets globally. Our customers are flying internationally more-and-more. In fact, our international travel increased 143% from 2018 to 2019.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE WINTER WEATHER TRAVEL?
De-icing is a very important safety precaution that should not be avoided or rushed when traveling. Be sure to plan your departure time accordingly if de-icing is probable as it could delay your departure.
