WHAT OTHER EVENTS ARE TAKING PLACE AROUND THE PREAKNESS STAKES?
In contrast to the time-honored tradition of the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness has a bit of a youthful, wild side. On Friday, May 20, Pimlico will play host to Preakness LIVE, a culinary, arts, and musical celebration. The festival will feature performances from Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, and Brittney Spencer, well as the aforementioned celebrity chefs. Then on Saturday, May 21, the same day as the Preakness Stakes, Pimlico’s infield will hold InfieldFest, featuring performances by DJ and producer Marshmello, GRAMMY Award winners The Chainsmokers, MoneyBagg Yo, and more. As for other racing events, Pimlico will hold the 98th Black-Eyed Susan Day, featuring the running of the George E.
