In contrast to the time-honored tradition of the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness has a bit of a youthful, wild side. At 10 a.m. on the morning of the Stakes, Pimlico will play host to Preakness LIVE, a culinary, arts, and musical celebration. This year, the festival will feature performances from Bruno Mars and Sofi Tukker, with more artists to be announced later.
As for other racing events, Pimlico will hold the 99th Black-Eyed Susan Day, featuring the running of the George E. Mitchell Black-Eyed Susan Stakes, On Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. This Grade II thoroughbred race features three-year-old fillies and a $250,000 prize. Find more information and tickets here.
