Summer’s heat is dialed up to full blast, and it’s high time for summer travel. As Independence Day rolls around, many are ready for 4th of July travel and planning out their summer odysseys. Home or abroad, there are plenty of places to see.
Whether you have vacations planned or events to attend, it’s the perfect time of year to explore further. In this article, we’ve rounded up the best 2019 summer events you won’t want to miss.
Best Summer Events 2019
1.Hamptons Annual Midsummer Party Gala
The Annual Midsummer Party Gala, one of the hottest summer social events in the Hamptons, is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, at Parrish Art Museum on Montauk Highway. The event brings together more than 500 artists, philanthropists, business leaders, and guests from around the world to support the museum’s efforts. At this year’s event, party goers will enjoy dinner on the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace followed by music and dancing in the Lichtenstein Theater-and, of course, an exclusive afterparty if you can score one of the usually-sold-out tickets.
The Annual Midsummer Party Gala makes the perfect end cap to a week of 4th of July travel. But when crowds flock to the Hamptons for holidays and weekend parties, the traffic can take the fun out of the getaway before you even make it there. Luckily, our Sikorsky jet card can get you to the Hamptons in just half an hour. With our Sikorsky helicopter membership, up to six passengers at a time can fly at speeds up to 178 miles per hour in the spacious and quiet Sikorsky S-76 luxury helicopter, far above the congested roads of New York.
2. Yellow Stone National Park
Magellan Jets has seen a influx of Montana trips scheduled for this summer. Did you know that Montana is home to Yellow Stone National park, and the summer is one of the best times to view it. America’s first ever National Park, Yellow stone boasts stunning views, rafting, fishing and hiking. There is always something for everyone to do.
3. Venice International Film Fest
In addition to Cannes and Berlin, the Venice International Film Fest stands as one of the most important festivals in the world for film producers. The Venice International Film Fest is also the oldest in the world. It takes place in August or September every year.
This year, film buffs and movie lovers will want to mark their calendars for August 28 to September 7, 2019, to join the week-long celebration of cinema as art, entertainment, and industry. In addition to the event, a trip to Venice in the summer holds a romance all its own.
4. Royal Ascot, Windsor Great Park
The largest horse race in Britain, the Royal Ascot is a five-day event each June that draws racing enthusiasts from all over the world, including the Royal Family. The Royal Ascot is much more than a horse race: it’s a pageant of high fashion, fine food, and plenty of pomp and circumstance. Flamboyant hats and elaborate outfits are as much a part of the attraction as the races themselves.
While this summer’s Royal Ascot race has already been run, it’s never too early to start planning for Royal Ascot 2020. Next year’s race is tentatively planned for June 16 through 20, 2020.
