4. Royal Ascot, Windsor Great Park
The largest horse race in Britain, the Royal Ascot is a five-day event each June that draws racing enthusiasts from all over the world, including the Royal Family. The Royal Ascot is much more than a horse race: it’s a pageant of high fashion, fine food, and plenty of pomp and circumstance. Flamboyant hats and elaborate outfits are as much a part of the attraction as the races themselves.
While this summer’s Royal Ascot race has already been run, it’s never too early to start planning for Royal Ascot 2020. Next year’s race is tentatively planned for June 16 through 20, 2020.
